Original Abstract

This contribution is focused on possibilities and the mode of application of GPS (Global Positioning System) on the measurement of flight performance. This system is able to register continuously the movement of aircraft. The attention was aimed at possibilities, the mode and the fields of application of generally accessible handheld GPS receivers working at the autonomous regime. Some GPS application fields at the measurement of flight performance are described in this contribution.
