Original Abstract

Kritické situace a tragické události v železničních tunelech bývají v celosvětovém měřítku ojedinělé, ale přesto k nim dochází a následky bývají většinou dramatičtější, než tomu bývá v případě tunelů silničních. Příčinou bývá odlišná geometrie železničních tunelů, jiný stupeň technologického vybavení železničních tunelů oproti silničním a zejména vyšší počet zasažených osob či přepravovaného nákladu v případě vzniku požáru či kolize.

English abstract

Critical situations and tragic events in railway tunnels are unique on a global scale, but they occur and the consequences tend to be more dramatic than it is in the case of road tunnels. The cause is usually a different geometry of the rail tunnels, a different degree of technological facilities compared to road and rail tunnels, in particular, a higher number of affected persons and the load in the event of a fire or a collision.
