Original Abstract

The article describes a lockless shared memorybased multicore communication protocol. The technique addresses mainly asymmetric multiprocessor systems (AMP), which it was designed for. The benefits of the protocol inferred from its implementation are explained, especially the advantage of its lockless nature. The protocol is integrated into Linux Kernel and there exist multiple multicore microcontroller implementations such as RPMsg Lite or OpenAMP RPMsg
