In calculating die dimensions, all subsequent dimensional changes must be considered to make sure that final casting dimensions at the end of the manufacturing process are, within tolerances specified, those required by the customer. The paper is contributing to a better understanding of dimensional changes that take place in the course of investment casting technology.
