Original Abstract

The lifetime of most building structures depends on the environmental conditions to which are exposed and on properties of the building materials that have ability to resist to these affects. The environmental conditions represent not only impact of the setting but also the effect of the structure utilisation, especially action af loading. Material characteristic of most building materials highly depend on their porous structures. Overall volume of the pores and distribution spectrum of their size directly influence mainly to monitor the strain properties of the building material. It is relatively easy to monitor the changes of properties in the course of utilisation but more complicated to evaluated these effects on the structure durability and lifetime.
