Original Abstract

There are several types of degradation mechanisms in the lead-acid battery, according to the type and duration. Usually there isn’t only one type but more, depending on how is battery loaded. Influence of degradation mechanisms cannot be eliminated. However, there are methods to minimize undesirable phenomena. Using of these methods is allowed only in specific regime. Another approach to this problem is manufacturing special accumulators for specific applications. But even in this case it is necessary compromise.
