Abstract

Original Abstract

Steel-fiber-reinforced concrete is a composite material with excellent parameters especially its tensile properties and resistance to emergence and spread of shrinkage cracks. In order for these properties to be exhibited, the steel fibers in the final hardened composite must be evenly distributed. Steel-fiber-reinforced concrete must be considered a specific construction material, especially with respect to its production and testing. So far it has been possible to evaluate the concentration and distribution of steel fibers with the desired measurement accuracy by means of the taking core drills from the structure. The disadvantage of these tests is mainly their destructive effect. The paper deals with the design of a methodology based on the non-destructive testing principle of evaluating the concentration and distribution of steel fibers in steel-fiber-reinforced concrete.
