Original Abstract

Accidents with animals has appreciable share in the overall accident rates in every country in the world. Consequences are reflected in human injuries or deaths, vehicle damages and at last but not least in financial losses from roadkills. Paper states comprehensive statistic of accident rate in Czech Republic, including aftermath of traffic accidents involving animals over last 21 years. It also briefly informs about collisions statistics from other countries. Over the world are numerous methods which aim to lower traffic collisions with animals. Distribution between these which affect animals, drivers and roads themselves is listed in this paper.
