Original Abstract

The paper presents basic results of the FEM numerical modelling of prestressed steel- concrete composite beam during assembly stage. The aim of FEM model is to analyze stresses and deformations of the beam mentioned, especially from the viewpoint of the influence of prestressing affecting steel beam in the phase of assembly, as one of the possibilities how to realize the prestressing of steel part (steel beam only) within the prestressed steel-concrete composite beam. The results of the numerical model created using the software of DLUBAL have been compared with the usual engineering calculating procedures based on the rules given in the European standards.

Keywords

Prestressed steel-concrete beam, composite, assembly stage, FEM numerical model, analytical calculation, stress, deformation.
