Podstata zařízení spočívá v měření přetváření vybraného úseku sledované konstrukce na účinky vnějšího silového namáhání pomocí snímačů, které ke klenbě samotné nepřiléhají. Navržená geometrie musí zohlednit potřebu záznamu deformace z řádově většího celku, než je velikost zdících prvků. Navrženým zařízením je možno stanovit velikost posunů a zároveň velikost pootočení části klenby nacházející se mezi body upnutí konstrukce ke klenbě. Soustava se skládá ze dvou tuhých polorámů, které nejsou vzájemně propojeny. Polorámy se dotýkají hroty umístěných snímačů.

The essence of the device consists of measuring the deformation of the selected segment monitored structure to the effects of external forces by sensors, which are not adjacent to the arch itself. The proposed geometry must take into account the need to record the deformation of the whole order of magnitude larger than the size of masonry units. The proposed device can determine the magnitude of displacements and rotations while the size of the vault located between the clamping points to vault construction. The system consists of two rigid half-frames which are not interconnected. Half-frames touching spikes placed sensors.
