Original Abstract

The submitted article is based in the problem area of the effectiveness and efficiency assessment of information systems in organizations using the HOS method created at the authors workplace. This method evaluates selected parts of the information system and examines their relative balance. It is evident from practical experience that it is appropriate to extend the method into the issue of information systems safety. In the article some results are presented of research in this area using the ZEFIS portal. An extension of the HOS method is proposed in connection with incorporating the issue of safety of company information systems.
