Technology of heavy steel castings of press bottom hammers

Verified technology

V rámci výzkumného projektu byla týmem pracovníků VUT v Brně, Vítkovice Heavy Machinery, a. s., a pracovníků firmy Mecas ESI, s. r. o, vyvinuta a ověřena nová technologie masivních odlitků spodních beranů lisů. Nová technologie umožňuje vyrábět tyto odlitky o hmotnosti 20–80 t o požadované vnitřní a povrchové jakosti při nízkých výrobních nákladech. Navržená technologie zahrnuje kompletní výrobní postup od optimalizace chemického složení kovu pro daný odlitek, návrh slévárenské technologie a řízení rychlosti tuhnutí odlitku v kritických místech odlitku.

Within the research project a new technology of heavy steel castings of press bottom hammers has been developed and experimentally verified by a team of employees from the Brno University of Technology, Vítkovice Heavy Machinery, a. s., (joint-stock company), and Mecas ESI, s. r. o., (Ltd.). The new technology enables manufacturing of mentioned castings in the weight range from 20 to 80 tons at required inner and surface quality and at the same time under low manufacture costs. Suggested technology includes complete manufacturing process from optimization of cast metal chemical composition, design of foundry technology and control of solidification rate of the casting in its critical parts.
