Original Abstract

The paper deals with possibilities of numerical solution of Ordinary Differential Equations (ODEs) - Initial Value Problems using Taylor series methods with automatic computation of higher Taylor series terms. The explicit and implicit scheme of Taylor series method is compared with numerical solvers implemented in MATLAB software. The computation time and accuracy is compared on the set of ODEs test examples [article - Comparing numerical methods for ordinary differential equations. SIAM and article - Two FORTRAN Packages for Assessing Initial Value Methods].
