Experimentální zařízení vniklo za účelem testování přestupu tepla skrápěných trubkových svazků při atmosférickém tlaku a režimů skrápění o různém povrchu trubek průměru 12 mm a minimální skrápěné délce 1,0 metr. Trubkový svazek může být testován při různých roztečích mezi trubkami. V případě deseti trubek jsou varianty 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 50 a 70 mm. Možný teplotní rozsah je 5 až 80 stupňu Celsia a o objemovém průtoku kapaliny 0 – 18,0 litrů za minutu.
