Original Abstract

The papers deals with a mechanical response of the pre-stressed railway sleeper during the standardized static loading test - estimations of variability of the sleepers response and especially probabilities of crack widths occurrence at specific load levels based on the results of (3D) numerical models are presented. The paper follows and extends previous results obtained by the research team in the cooperation with specialists from the sleepers manufacturers ZPSV a. s.
