Original Abstract

The foundation of passive and low-energy buildings can be very effective solve on the heat insulating backfill made of freeze resistant expanded clay aggregate Liapor which is suitable for improving the foundation conditions even in some cases. This is especially true for the fraction Liapor 4-8 mm, which was found in addition to high shear strength parameters (angle of internal friction), also relatively high deformation modulus after compaction.
