Na základě teoretického rozboru pohybu volné hladiny vyvolaném rotací oběžného kola Peltonovy turbiny byl navrženo a sestrojeno zkušební zařízení pro měření vlivu výšky oběžného kola nad spodní hladinou pomocí vysokofrekvenční kamery a digitálního fotoaparátu. Zařízení umožňuje plynulou změnu otáček oběžného kola a výšku hladiny. Výsledkem měření je doporučená efektivní výška oběžného kola nad spodní hladinou s důrazem na maximální využití energetického potenciálu dané lokality. Vzhledem k využití zařízení při modelových zkouškách byl odvozen vztah podobnostního kritéria mezi modelem a dílem.

Pelton turbine wheel rotation causes a motion of the water level. On the basis of the theoretical analysis of the free water level motion there was designed a testing device. The device can be used for the wheel distance determination above the water level and its effect on the motion. The device uses the high frequency camera and digital camera. The equipment allows the fluent change of the wheel speed and the water level. As a result it recommends the effective height of the wheel above the water level to obtain the maximal usage of the energetic potential of the locality. There was derived the equation of the similarity criterion between the model and the prototype.
