Zařízení je určeno pro cílenou modifikaci topografie třecích povrchů na dvou typech vzorků (kuličky a válečky). Princip modifikace topografie je založen na procesu shot peening, což je otryskávání povrchu skleněnými nebo keramickými kuličkami (tzv. balotinou). Řízením parametrů tryskacího zařízení je možné docílit požadované modifikace topografie třecích povrchů.

Equipment was designed for relatively fast surface topography modification of non-conformal samples such as balls or rollers. The surface topography is modified on the basis of shot peening process, where small glass or ceramic balls bombard rubbing surface of the sample.
