Original Abstract

An Activity in the European project CEDESA focused on aerodynamic shape optimization in the context of aircraft design is the main subject of cooperation between Swedish defense research institute FOI and Brno University of Technology. We present here developed optimization procedure consisting of Free-Form Deformation parameterization method and gradient-based optimization algorithms, tested in aerodynamic shape optimization of transonic swept wing.
