On the project

This project contributes to young research field of space-agriculture by addressing two fun-damental challenges: the absence of bioavailable nitrogen in lunar regolith and the lack of rapid, in-situ diagnos-tic tools for monitoring plant elemental status beyond Earth. By investigating nitrogen supplementation to enable plant growth and by advancing Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) as a versatile tool for plant and regolith analysis, the project lays the groundwork for sustainable agricultural systems beyond Earth.
