On the project

The project develops a nvel non-destructive methodology for quantifying wood thermal degradation by fusing atomi (LIBS) and molecular (Raman) data. The goal is to create a predictive model determining the degree of modification in softwoods and hardwoods. This enables rapid in-situ quality control without destructive testing. The collaboration between FCE and CEITEC BUT correlates spectral fingerprints with reference physical metrics to ensure industrial applicability.
