Projekt se zaměřuje na výzkum nanostruktur pro využití v nanoelektronice, nanofotonice, spintronice a biosenzorice. Hlavní pozornost bude věnována přípravě kovových nanostruktur a mikrostruktur, jejich detailní charakterizaci, studiu podmínek vzniku povrchových plazmonových polaritonů, jejich detekci a aplikacím v oblasti biosenzoriky. Současně budou připravovány magnetické multivrstvy a zkoumány možnosti jejich využití v detekčních a senzorických aplikacích.
