On the project

This project develops 3D-printed, animal-free hydrogel substrates using poly(vinyl alcohol) and polysaccharides (CMC, chitosan, furcellaran). Including non-toxic freeze-thaw cross-linking, these resorbable scaffolds ensure 7-day stability and optical transparency at pH 7.2–7.4. Furcellaran and chitosan provide antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. After L929 fibroblast screening, optimal variants will be used for mouse embryo cultivation. This biomimetic platform optimizes embryo viability and development for advanced IVF applications.
