On the project

This project explores the electrochemical basis of contact-mediated antibacterial activity in Ti-Cu eutectoid microstructures made via extrusion-based additive manufacturing. Using SVET, it will map local currents, pH, and oxygen to link microstructure with antibacterial functionality, aiming to advance antibiotic-free metallic biomaterials for orthopedic implants.
