On the project

The project focuses on improving injectable calcium phosphate bone cements for stabilization of small bone fragments under wet physiological conditions. By combining calcium phosphate chemistry with bioadhesive additives (dopamine, organophosphate), chitosan for cohesion and washout resistance, and a thermoresponsive PLGA–PEG–PLGA polymer for injectability, the project proposes a modular design of resorbable bone adhesives with improved handling, stability and balanced cohesion and adhesion.
