On the project

The project focuses on the development of a decellularized fish skin scaffold with preserved extracellular matrix and omega-3 fatty acids, to serve as a natural, safe, and effective regenerative dressing suitable for burn wound healing and full-thickness skin regeneration. The aim is to optimize a preparation method of the scaffold, and evaluate its biological, mechanical, and immunomodulatory properties in vitro. The starting raw material will be locally sourced Czech aquaponic fish skin waste, ensuring sustainable waste utilization.
