On the project

This project focuses on the development of transparent high-entropy ceramics as emerging materials for advanced optical applications. Garnet-based ceramics will be prepared using two distinct routes: vacuum sintering of high-entropy powders and controlled crystallisation from glass precursors. The aim is to identify suitable processing strategies and to evaluate their effect on microstructure, achievable optical transparency, and photoluminescent behaviour.
