On the project

Metastasis is the main cause of cancer-related death, yet few therapies target tumor invasion. The concept of migrastatics proposes drugs that immobilize cancer cells by inhibiting protrusion and contractility. This project evaluates candidate drugs and their effects on cell motility and cytoskeletal dynamics using advanced imaging in 2D and 3D models. Expected result include new perspectives into invasive plasticity, identification of repurposed anti-invasive drugs, and strategies that complement conventional cancer therapies.
