On the project

Single-atom catalysis offers a path to sustainable and cost-effective technologies. This project explores the catalytic properties of 2D metal-organic frameworks supported on graphene, whose chemical inertness allows control over active sites geometry. By comparing 3-fold and 4-fold coordination geometries, the study combines experiments with density functional theory to reveal how coordination sites impact catalytic activity, providing valuable insights for advancing this promising field.
