On the project
In this project, I propose to investigate the spin relaxation times of nitroxide radical TEMPO via rapid scan Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) spectroscopy, a technique that I am implementing at the CEITEC facilities in Brno. The successful study of such radicals in high magnetic fields (≥ 5 T) is a necessary step in understanding and optimizing the nuclear polarization efficiency and developing spin polarization agents for Dynamic Nuclear Polarization (DNP). The importance of DNP in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) lies in a significant enhancement, up to several orders of magnitude.
