On the project

Molecular doping offers an exciting way to controllably tune the opto-electronic properties of 2D materials. This project is focused on the growth kinetics of tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ) and derivative of tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) on the monolayer of the van der Waals material MoS2. TCNQ and TTF are representative p-type and n-type dopants that can be self-assembled into long-range ordered molecular networks on substrates. Organic dopants can improve opto-electronic properties and the photoluminescence, which could be asserted in industry.
