On the project

Plasma treatment of the calcium phosphate powder before its consolidation by electrophoretic deposition can eliminate the need for a toxic stabiliser in suspension making the process environmentally friendly. Moreover, it positively affects final properties of deposits. Subsequent densification by rapid sintering at various heating rates and sintering temperatures allows tailoring of the porosity and phase composition of bioactive calcium phosphate. This approach will bring new possibilities for regenerative medicine and tissue engineering.
