On the project
Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy in high magnetic fields is a very important tool in the characterization of materials. It allows studying Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) of Single-Molecule Magnets (SMMs) with very large zero-field splitting, in which commonly used EPR systems do not provide experimental access to the magnetic resonance transitions. It also presents an ideal experimental technique that can probe band structure and elucidate electronic properties of 2D materials.
