On the project
In this project, biphenyl-4,4’-dicarboxylic acid (BDA) self-assembly on Ag(100) and Ag(111) single crystals is going to be investigated in real-time. Employing LEEM and other complementary surface science methods, we aim to reveal kinetics of transitional and resulting BDA structures formation at different temperatures and electron-beam energies. In addition, an influence of each external stimulus (thermal annealing and electron-beam irradiation) on the kinetics and structural transformations is going to be revealed.
