Competence

The Department ensures in particular:

• Preparation and production of analyses and related documents for the purpose of developing the University's strategy, including setting relevant strategic objectives in the medium and long term,
• preparation of internal and external analyses aimed at supporting the decision-making of the University management,
• preparing, designing and evaluating surveys and questionnaire surveys among BUT employees, BUT students and BUT graduates and their employers,
• preparation of documents for the evaluation of the fulfilment of strategic objectives,
• preparing, drafting and evaluating the University's strategic documents, in particular the University's strategic plan and plans for its implementation,
• preparation and planning of the strategy of the BUT, including evaluation of strategic documents and materials of the European Union, the Czech Republic, central public authorities, international organisations and other institutions, especially in the field of science and research or education,
• monitoring and evaluating international university rankings,
• coordination of relevant development and subsidy programmes of the Ministry of Education and Science (institutional programme, centralised development programmes, programme to support strategic management of universities, etc.),
• the preparation and processing of the Annual Activity Report and the Quality Report, including its supplements,
• management and development of the quality assurance and assessment system in all areas of the activities of the HEI, including the management and development of assessment criteria (indicators) for benchmarking at national and international level,
• the development of assignments for the modification of the University's information system to support analytical activities,
• coordinating activities with the developers and administrators of the University's information systems (with a focus on data outputs),
• organizing the activities of the Internal Evaluation Council of the BUT.
