Department of Institutional Resilience and Security


COMPETENCE

  • The Head of the Department is subordinate to the Chancellor.

    The Department ensures in particular:

    • methodological support for the units of BUT in the area of institutional resilience and security,
    • carries out security assessments of international partnerships and research collaborations, including the assessment of prospective employees and students
    • draws up, maintains and regularly tests business continuity plans for the critical processes of BUT, carries out analyses of the impacts of operational disruptions and coordinates the preparedness of BUT for crisis situations
    • draws up regular reports on the state of the resilience and security of the institution.

    The Department further ensures the direct management of the agendas of:

    • the Security Director,
    • the Data Protection Officer,
    • the support body of the Ministry of Justice for conflicts of interest pursuant to Act No. 159/2006 Coll.,
    • the Information Systems Administrator (for supervision of the consistency and development of the BUT IS),
    • the Equal Opportunities Coordinator and the social safety agenda,
    • the spokesperson,
    • the persons competent to receive and address notifications pursuant to Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of 23 October 2019 on the protection of persons who report breaches of Union law and the related legislation.
