As part of his agenda, he also prepares materials for the Scientific Council and coordinates the evaluation of science and research, which BUT is currently undergoing in the context of university assessment. He revealed where the university still has room for improvement, what attracted him to shift from electrical engineering to chemistry, why science has become more of a weekend hobby for him, and how many kilometers he runs each month. “The core of my work is creating conditions for our researchers and other employees in research, so that we can carry out research at the level we need. The university’s goal is, of course, to be a top, internationally competitive institution,” he said. VUT’s up? is an internal podcast of Brno University of Technology dedicated to topics that influence life at the university.
