In the category Award for Contribution to the Development of Public Procurement in the Czech Republic, it is awarded to individuals and groups engaged in public procurement, spreading good practices, and enhancing the prestige of public procurement. Martin Vyklický received the award together with Martin Hadaš from Masaryk University and Jakub Váňa from the South Moravian Region for mutual cooperation in the field of public procurement. The trio, through their teamwork and mutual coordination of activities, strives to contribute to the modernization and refinement of public procurement not only in the Czech Republic.Awarded: Martin Vyklický (BUT), Martin Hadaš (MUNI), and Jakub Váňa (SMR). | Author: MUNI archiveBrno University of Technology has long been striving for modern, transparent, and responsible public procurement, while also actively participating in initiatives supporting a sustainable approach to public procurement. The university signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Ministry for Regional Development as part of its active membership in the Public Procurement Platform, where it presents, educates, and showcases its approach to public procurement. For example, in one of the public procurement projects, the minimum standards for responsible public procurement for security services were used within this cooperation.
In connection with the implementation of the National Strategy for Public Procurement in the Czech Republic, 14 nominated projects were evaluated. In the categories of Innovative Public Procurement and Sustainable Procurement, the awards went to the Moravian-Silesian Region for introducing a dynamic purchasing system for purchasing medicines for hospitals, and the city of Jičín for its Responsible School Meal Strategy in school canteens. The Special Award for Long-term Contribution to Public Procurement was presented to Daniel Jirásko from the Public Procurement Department of the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic.
