Election of a candidate for the office of BUT rector

On 5th November 2013, the BUT Academic Senate elected a candidate for the office of rector of BUT for the years 2014 to 2018. Of the two academics standing for this office, prof. RNDr. Ing. Petr Štěpánek, CSc., currently the vice-rector for BUT strategic development (Faculty of Civil Engineering) and prof. Ing. Radimír Vrba, CSc., currently the director of the BUT Central European Institute of Technology (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication), vice-rector Petr Štěpánek was elected.
