Author: Jaroslav NovákStudents and recent university graduates from all over the Czech Republic took part in the race. The race day started at 11:30 with two disciplines – Technical Race and Sprint, exclusively on inflatable paddleboards in the i-SUP category. All participants competed on borrowed equipment, ensuring fair conditions for everyone regardless of experience or material background.
More than 20 students from 6 different universities took part in the event. The competition was tight, and the races were fought down to the last paddle stroke.
Among the women, Alena Krausová from Czech Technical University Prague placed first in the Sprint discipline, and Blanka Mičke from Charles University won the Technical Race. In the men's category, Ondřej Fukas from BUT dominated, taking the title in both Sprint and Technical Race. BUT student Tomáš Hrbáč took second place in the Sprint and third place in the Technical Race. The results were announced after 3 p.m. right on the shore of the reservoir to loud applause from fans and participants alike.Author: Jaroslav Novák
Entry fees were free for students, and ČAUS also contributed to travel and accommodation costs. Thanks to this, students from more remote parts of the country could also enjoy the race.
The races ran smoothly thanks to the well-prepared organizing team from BUT and the Centre of Sports Activities BUT. The race director was Svatava Nováková, technical director Jaroslav Vrba and chief referee Aleš Kuchyňka.Author: Jaroslav Novák
