The student representation of the university was exemplary. The group brought home not only sports trophies and memories but also ideas for student-led events inspired by sustainability, fair play, and internationalization. There is also potential for collaboration with the Master of Science in Human Movement and Sports Sciences programme focusing on Sport Management and Technology, as part of the Sports Technologies study programme.The group also met with Czech volleyball player Marek Pakosta. | Author: CESA BUT ArchiveAs part of their free time, the group visited the Olympic Museum. In the spirit of sport, they also met with Marek Pakosta, who is the chairman of the Czech Volleyball Federation, vice-chairman of the Czech Union of Sport, member of the Executive Committee of the Czech Olympic Committee, board member of CEV and FIVB, participant of the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, European champion in 1996, winner of the CEV Volleyball Champions League, double winner of the CEV Cup Winners’ Cup, and a member of the Czech Volleyball Federation Hall of Fame.BUT’s success at the Students' Games 2025 in Lausanne is not only a testament to the athletic talent and team spirit of its students but also an inspiration for others. The results, dedication, and representation demonstrated that a technical university can also excel in sport on the international stage. We thank all members of the delegation for their excellent representation of the university, their sportsmanship, and for promoting the good name of BUT abroad. We look forward to future successes!
