The BUT start-up BIOM Research Project, which focuses on developing a modular system ensuring food and energy self-sufficiency for urban agglomerations, has published its 2025 annual summary report. The document outlines the progress of development, changes in company leadership, and cooperation with the university. At the same time, the start-up is introducing a new way to support the project – by selling a special edition of T-shirts, with all proceeds going toward the development of the first functional prototype of the BIOM module.

The start-up invested in preparing the prototype construction, legal protection of intellectual property, and the creation of a business strategy. A key milestone was the entry of Ing. arch. David Průša, who has served since December 2024 as the new managing director and CEO of the project. The start-up also actively used the “Start-up VUT” designation, which, according to its own evaluation, boosts its credibility with partners and investors.Author: BIOM Research ProjectBIOM Research Project is a team of architects and other experts from the Faculty of Architecture BUT who aim to develop modular technology capable of supplying entire cities with drinking water, food, and electricity in the future.
