Wednesday, May 21st at Brno University of Technology belonged to employees and physical activity. The Centre of Sports Activities of BUT (CESA) organized a variety of physical activities as part of the sports day, aiming to get the university staff moving.

Employees could take part in a wide range of sports activities. One highlight was a badminton tournament, won by Lenka Kopřivová from the Faculty of Chemistry and Miroslav Mrajca from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication.

In addition to the tournament, both academic and non-academic staff had the chance to join a rafting trip on the Zámecká Dyje or try exercises on large fitness balls, Pilates, and FitPainFree workouts.

The gym, tennis courts, and outdoor workout area were also freely accessible. As in previous years, there was strong interest in body composition measurements using the InBody device.

CESA also organized a football tournament for the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Eight faculty teams participated, and the team from the Institute of Mathematics took the win.

Several faculties used the day for their own organized activities, most commonly opting for walking trips in the surrounding area.

This year's sports day attracted more than 230 participants. Thank you all for joining – we look forward to more sports events, such as the upcoming Sports Week in September.
