MATHING – online competition in maths

The MATHING competition will take place on 25 November 2025. It is a competition of teams of students from secondary schools in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, consisting of no more than 7 students from the same school and not necessarily from the same year. Each team has a captain = student and a sponsor = teacher and all communication is done via the internet. Thus, students work on the solution on their school premises (or any suitable place if the school is closed) and can have any literature and the Internet at their disposal. Teams solve 10 mathematical problems of varying difficulty in 120 minutes. The solving process is also evaluated, just like in a traditional mathematics Olympiad.
