The dissertation in focused on the architectural heritage conservation. The subject might be an analysis of a selected work or set of works, methodological critics, historiographical research or theoretical study connected to local or international legislation and conventions

This topic deals with current discussion tackling relationships of European authoritarian regimes and 20th century architecture from a point of view of their autonomous and contextual meaning and sense. This work is based on analysis, comparative study, systematization and generalization of selected projects, buildings and building units as well as their theoretical and critical reflexion.

The main topic is housing in the city. The focus of this general theme will be at the main parameter – The man of the 21st century. The objective scientific study will not search for answers in particular architectonic projects. The research will be adjusted on the new view on human being, existence, needs, and relationships.

The dissertation is focused on architectural interventions benefitting archaeological conservation and interpretation. The subject might be an analysis of protective halls or shelters above excavations, pedestrian walks and lookout towers in archaeological areas, exhibition pavilions, education trails and their stops and boards, partially or totally reconstructed landmarks etc.
The dissertation is focused on traditional form languages and typologies in architecture from the turn of the 20th century until the present. The subject might be an analysis of the work of particular architect/s, architecture in specific region, particular typology, or application of traditional design in the contemporary architecture.
Due to ideological pressure in the past the research of various forms of housing, especially villas and family houses was extremely limited . Family house for upper middle class , however, was in the prewar period „driving force“ of progress in Czechoslovakian avant-guard architecture. The proposed topic should help to more complex understanding and interpretation of this phenomenon not only from the point of view of architecture history in Czechoslovakia, but also in international context.
