Team and Company Development

Course is focused on development and training of entrepreneurial and managerial skills and competencies. Students establish real team company and start their real projects. Developed areas cover team development, self-development, establishment and development of company, organizing, planning, control, identification of business opportunities, marketing, research and validation, project launching, financial aspects of business, basic principles of brand development.

Entry knowledge

The basic prerequisites for the course Business Competences Development are the fundamental knowledge of business areas at the level of higher education and skills in communication and teamwork. Customer experience gained in the market environment is also beneficial. This course is deeply bound with the subject Principles of Entrepreneurship.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Grading and completion of the course
Grading includes ongoing assessment of outputs and assessment of the final presentation and defense. Grading takes into account both teamwork and individual outputs.
Course grading:
• Establishment and development of a team company – 30% (up to 30 points)
• Team development – 30% (up to 30 points)
• Development of own projects – 40% (up to 40 points)
Bonus points
• 5 points for participation in ESBD program development activities
The final assessment is completed during a team session during the exam period. Students present the process of establishing and starting a company, company development, project development, and any activities within the program. Presentation requirements will be specified in the e-learning platform and discussed during the practical training.
The final grade is based on points earned in individual areas and is in accordance with ECTS principles.
Participation in team exercises and other activities is mandatory, monitored, and included in the final assessment. Each absence results in a deduction of 2 points from the final assessment. Students may miss a maximum of three activities per semester, including activities taking place during the exam period, with the exception of the final presentation. These three absences can be compensated for by additional projects and assignments set by the teacher. Additional assignments must be completed no later than the credit week.

ABSENCES EXCEEDING 3 TEAM EXERCISES/ACTIVITIES will result in a FAILURE to complete the course.

Students with an individual study plan must consult the detailed conditions with their teacher and team when arranging their ISP. Students with an ISP must participate in the activities and complete the final assessment.

Aims

Objective of course is a foundation of functional company, creation of environment for team development and development of student project.


Students will learn legal, managerial, and entrepreneurial aspects, principles, techniques and methods for company foundation and development of company’s activities. Students will be able to use techniques of team communication and apply dialogue in learning and problem solving. Students will learn principles of realization of projects in real company. Students will gain knowledge and skills for development and management of team.
