The course introduces student to sanitary and electricity installations, systems of heating and air-conditioning in buildings, their technical options, conditions for positioning and installation in buildings, and their interconnections to the architectural, structural and disposition design.

Aims
Basic principles of building services, the method of installation in buildings, design principles of sanitary rooms, sanitary appliances, their installation space requirements and routes. Waste management of buildings, supply of water, gas, and electricity. The topic of indoor environment of buildings and its design principles, heating in buildings, heating systems, and air-conditioning systems.
- Ability to create a conceptual design of sanitary installations.
- Ability to create a conceptual design of electricity installations.
- Ability to create a conceptual design of heating systems.
- Ability to create a conceptual design of air-conditioning.
- Ability to coordinate the design of building services with the architectural and technical design.
Rules for evaluation and completion of the course
The credit will be awarded if students comply with the requirements: submission of seminar work of the required extent and quality and within the deadline; 70% participation in the seminars and two consultations of the work-in-progress individual assignment at the specified dates.
The exam has written form. To complete the exam successfully, students must gain at least 50 % of the total number of points. Only students awarded the credit can take the exam.
Participation in seminars is obligatory (and controlled). At two specific dates during the semester, student´s work is monitored if it meets the requirements of individual assignment.
Absences are compensated by individual consultations and by assigning extra individual work.
