Department

Institute of Geodesy (GED)

Entry knowledge

Fundamental knowledge of atmospheric optics and space mechanics.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Verification of knowledge and skills takes place in exercises. Students are motivated to continuous study even during the lessons. The teacher repeatedly emphasizes essential profile information. The exam is carried out in the form of a test as well as in writing. Evaluation is carried out according to valid principles with a set scale of evaluation.

Extent and forms are specified by guarantor’s regulation updated for every academic year.

Aims

Understanding of physical fundamentals of methods using contctless detection of surface object charecteristics. Image data of remote sensing for solutions of thematic and topographic survey tasks, landscape development monitoring.
Student will manage theoretical basics of methods of remote sensing of the ground objects. They will be introduced with present technical resources of visual data collection and with methods of their interpretation for landscape monitoring and its components and for creation of cartographic works, divided by different purpose.
