Law of EU

The course addresses legal framework for economic integration in the European Union which is crucial for prosperity of Czechia. There are two crucial parts of the course. Firstly, development of EC/EU, nature and features of the EU, its supranational law, institutions and procedures are explained. Second part explains economic integration based on economic freedoms (free movements of goods, persons, legal entities, services, capital and payment) and economic policies (competition, agriculture, budget, single currency) and cooperation in non-economic matters (common foreign and security policy, cooperation in judicial and administrative matters). Finally, road to the EU and Czech membership are explained. Explanation of legal framework is accompanied with basic information about economic, social, political, historical, geographic a psychological aspects of integration in the EU. Integration in other global and continental international organisations (UN, WTO, OECD, NATO and the Council of Europe) is mentioned.

The test takes the form of a written test. The test consists of 30 questions with 4 response options, which is always only one correct answer. Validated knowledge is subject. The classification is in accordance with Directive Entrepreneurial faculties are.

• The role of EU institutions in the development and application of economic and commercial law of the EU. Sources rights.
• Legal aspects of free circulation of goods, labor, capital, freedom to provide services and freedom of enterprise.
• Competition in EU law.
• Consumer protection in EU law.
• Company law governed by EU law
