Internship in the Czech Republic - summer

Internships in the Czech Republic follow the conditions that are summarized on the faculty website (especially in the Dean's Instruction No. 5/2019 "Rules for study visits, practical internships and student transfers", see https://www.vutbr.cz / uredni-deska / interni-legislativa-favu). Specific internships are negotiated by students and their content is elaborated in an internship contract. The head of the applicant's studio may also participate in formulating the goals and content of the internship. Atelier approvals are awarded.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Completing the internship will enhance the student's practical skills - they will acquire specific workflows and test the possibilities of practical application of previously acquired knowledge. After agreement with the head of the studio, the graduate will share his/her experience in the form of a presentation.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The methods of conducting the traineeship are determined by the host institution.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Credits are awarded on the basis of compliance with the conditions set out in the traineeship contract and after submitting all the necessary documents to the Study Department. These are: a report on the traineeship completed with the signature of the head of the studio; confirmation of the employer / institution on the fulfillment of the agreed internship conditions.

The course of the semester is given by the terms and conditions agreed between the students and the institutions stipulated in the internship agreement.

Aims

The aim of the traineeship in the Czech Republic is to enable students to undertake a field-relevant work experience in a domestic institution, gain relevant work experience, develop specific skills and skills that can then be further used in studies, and establish and deepen cooperation between faculty and private or public entities offering job opportunities in the industry.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

During the internship, students fulfill their obligations as they have been negotiated. Upon their return, they submit (within 15 days) a report from the internship to the head of the studio (this mainly recapitulates the content of the internship and comments on the experience and skills acquired and the individual contribution of the internship).
